Job role

The iOS Developer I role supports iPhone and iPad application screens, mobile workflows, API integrations, testing, and secure delivery practices. This is a remote opening for candidates with iOS fundamentals, organized communication, and the patience to build polished mobile experiences from real requirements. The role should balance clean UI implementation with practical reliability and privacy awareness.

Role responsibilities

  • Develop iOS screens, components, navigation flows, and feature updates from defined requirements.
  • Work with Swift, SwiftUI or UIKit, app state, forms, validation, and user interactions.
  • Integrate mobile screens with REST APIs, authentication flows, and structured data responses.
  • Handle loading, empty, success, and error states with clear user experience.
  • Test mobile behavior across relevant device sizes, orientations, and common user paths.
  • Debug app issues using logs, reproducible steps, simulators, and device testing where available.
  • Follow project structure, naming conventions, and maintainable mobile coding practices.
  • Participate in code review and revise work based on technical and design feedback.
  • Document implementation decisions, setup steps, testing notes, and known limitations.
  • Apply secure mobile basics for local storage, authentication, permissions, and data handling.
  • Avoid storing secrets, tokens, or unnecessary sensitive data in the mobile app.
  • Coordinate with backend or web teams when API behavior affects the mobile experience.
  • Support app build, signing, release-readiness, and store-preparation tasks when assigned.
  • Communicate remote progress, blockers, screenshots, and test results clearly.
  • Keep usability, performance, accessibility, and privacy in view while building features.

Basic qualifications

  • Associate degree, three-year degree, bachelor's degree, or equivalent mobile/software qualification.
  • Basic Swift and iOS development fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with SwiftUI or UIKit, Xcode, simulators, and Apple development workflow.
  • Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, app state, forms, validation, and error handling.
  • Working knowledge of Git and ability to follow a remote team workflow.
  • Awareness of mobile security basics, privacy, permissions, and safe local storage.
  • Ability to test changes, share screenshots, and document implementation progress.
  • Interest in building reliable, useful, business-focused mobile applications.
